Welcome to the website for Human Anatomy and Physiology (Biol 2221/L & 2222/L).
Lecture
There is a lot of material available for studying here, so take a look around.
Labs
After successfully completing 2 semesters of Human Anatomy and Physiology, students will be able to:
Links
  • Define appropriate terminology to effectively communicate information related to anatomy and physiology.
  • Recognize the anatomical structures and explain the physiological functions of body systems.
  • Recognize and explain the principle of homeostasis and the mechanisms used to control physiological systems in the human body.
  • Explain how anatomical relationships apply to physiological functions.
  • Recognize and explain the interrelationships within and between anatomical and physiological systems of the human body.
  • Recognize connections between knowledge of anatomy/physiology and real-world situations, including healthy lifestyle decisions and homeostatic imbalances.
  • Demonstrate laboratory procedures used to examine anatomical structures and evaluate physiological functions of each organ system.
  • Use quantitative reasoning to interpret anatomical and physiological graphs and data.
